Sesha Srabana ( 1976) Movie

Directed by Prashant Nanda  who himself played the lead role in the film, Sesha Shrabana is  noted for its superb screenplay and soul lifting music. The film also saw the debut of noted Oriya actress Mahasweta Ray.

‘ACP Ranveer’ Movie Story:-

‘ACP Ranveer’ was much awaited because of the two big names – Anubhav Mohanty and Pradeep Rawat. Sudhakar Basant has been known for making successful comedy-action-romantic films, while Anubhav’s movies stood out for his trademark stylish acting, glamour and breathtaking action sequences. Sudhakar uses Anubhav’s style and presence well in ‘ACP Ranveer’.

Within a few minutes of the film, you will realise that it is an out and out Anubhav’s film. The story may be formulaic, but there is enough space for entertaining elements. Though the writer has failed to give a credible story and script, artists and technicians make up for it and take the film to a newer height. Music, Graphics, Action, Costumes, Background score are of Bollywood level. It is the best Odia film technically till date.

Pradeep Rawat (Salim Langda) has given a strong performance. For the first time, a bollywood actor is properly used in an odia film. Heroine Akanksha Choudary (Naina) has done a decent job. She is not looking as charming as Barsha.

STORY

Sai (Anubhav Mohanty) is born as an orphan and brought up with no one of his own. His only aim in life is to marry a girl from joint family and enjoy the emotional relations of being a member in big family. Sai soon finds his girl in the form Post Graduate Orthopedic Doctor Sampurna (Barsha Priyadarshini), daughter of businessman (Bijay Mohanty) who has a big family.

Sai along with his friends get on to the duty of wooing the girl. Though initially reluctant, Sampurna falls in love for sincerity and simplicity in Sai. Thus comes hurdle in form of Bijay Mohanty who doesn’t want to get his daughter married to an orphan because of painful experiences seen in the life of his sister (Namrata Das).

Now, Sai too refuses to marry Sampurna without her family approval because what he wants is bonding of a joint family. Around the same time, Bijay Mohanty fixes her daughter’s wedding with London based Doctor (Kuna Tripathy) family, who keeps a condition on physical presence of Sai during the entire marriage event. Love Master Story:-
Love Master is tipped to be a romantic family entertainer and Director Chandi Parija attempts to showcase Babushaan as a class hero with mass instincts and hook the families. And we have to say he has just managed to pull things off – only just.

First half of the movie is adequate. Major part of the second half is entertaining. Climax of the movie is debatable. The plus points are Babushaan and entertainment. Love Master is a decent and clean movie with enough ingredients to make it work at box office, but honestly it is not a good remake of Telegu blockbuster Brindavanam. STORY
Anubhav (Prince) is a playboy. He has affairs with many girls. He has a caring grandfather (Pradyumna Lenka), grandmother (Namrata), loving big brother (Sukanta) and strict father (Kuna Tripathy) at his home. Salil (Bhagia) is always with him, to take care.

Barsha (Pihu) is a odissi dance teacher in Ooty. Prince returns from London and his father tells him to go Ooty for company business. He goes there with Bhagia. There he meets Pihu.

Prince accepts challenge of his friends to make Pihu fall in love with him in 10 days. And he succeeds in doing that. After finishing his love mission, Prince returns to his home at Cuttack.
